The Brisbane Cricket Ground, affectionately referred to as The Gabba, is a major sports stadium located in Brisbane, Queensland. The nickname comes from its proximity to Woolloongabba suburb.
Over the last decade, The Gabba has undergone an incredible transformation with modern concrete stands offering premium facilities to both players and spectators alike. Not only does it host cricket matches, but also Australian Rules football (Brisbane Lions), rugby union matches, athletics events, baseball matches and cycling competitions.

Since 1993, the stadium has undergone a gradual redevelopment with new bleachers, grandstands, light towers and video screens installed. It is scheduled for another major reconstruction during the 2032 Olympic Games.
The name of this ground derives from Woolloongabba district of Brisbane and it’s renowned for hosting Test and one-day cricket matches, as well as Australian rugby league and AFL matches.
