Queen Street Mall

Take part in retail therapy at Queen Street Mall, a pedestrian mall in the city center that boasts 700 retailers and attracts over 26 million visitors a year. Home to big fashion brands such as Myer, David Jones, H&M and Uniqlo as well as local boutiques and shops like Myer Boutique; Queen Street Mall also hosts numerous eateries and bars and is within walking distance from popular tourist spots such as Brisbane City Hall and Treasury Casino.

Brisbane Arcade boasts three levels, filled with local artisan jewellers and boutiques; Tattersall’s Arcade features luxurious designer stores; both are easily accessible by both car and public transport, hosting numerous events throughout the year.

Queen Street Mall features several major malls such as Myer Centre, Wintergarden, Broadway on the Mall, MacArthur Centre and Queens Plaza as well as numerous shopping centres and arcades with smaller retailers spread out among them.

Queen Street Mall, Edward Street and Adelaide Street form an iconic trifecta of Brisbane streets for residents to gather. PDT Architects created this project as an opportunity to make shopping an interactive and visually interesting experience for customers.

The result was a series of carefully programmed spaces that interlocked like puzzle pieces to maximize use of an extremely limited urban footprint. A welcoming entry plaza, verdant plantings, passive lawns, active play equipment, parkour beams and porch swings create places of rest and relaxation while active play equipment encourages physical activity – evoking backyard vibes as much as possible.

On the ground level, you’ll find David Jones as well as high end fashion stores such as Balenciaga, Hermes, Hugo Boss and Montblanc. QueensPlaza has recently undergone renovation and now features a restaurant that overlooks Queen Street as well as notable retailers like two Cotton On megastores Rebel Sport Lush and Jo Mercer on level 1 Queen Street frontage as well as Citigold Bradley Jewellery Stones Diamond Ring Specialists jewellers.
