Age Groups

Football or soccer, both are immensely popular children’s sports in Brisbane. A number of clubs provide training to young players between 3 years old and adults in both recreational and competitive settings.

Age groups for football players are determined based on when their birthday falls within the calendar year that season starts; so, for instance, any child turning eleven between 1 January and 31 December would play in Under 11’s during that season.

This club provides various programs, from MiniRoos Kick Off for 4- to 9-year-olds, through club football for children aged 5-11, to men’s and women’s National Premier League teams as well as a successful master’s league for players aged 35 years or over, enabling it to develop future footballers safely in an enjoyable atmosphere.

Training

BRFC provides professional training and competition teams for children aged 3 years (Squirts) through Under 16s, including a Girls Academy. Operating for over 30 years, our safe environment encourages fun participation while developing fundamentals of soccer.

Our club offers an impressive variety of programs and boasts numerous coaches throughout, guaranteeing high quality programming for our members. Programs available to members include Summer, Winter, Academy and Goalkeeper Academy programs along with school holiday offerings.

This club prides itself on fostering player and coach development and boasts one of the highest SAP ratings in Queensland. Furthermore, they compete annually as one of the two Brisbane Roar FC U21 clubs competing in NPL QLD and Foxtel National Youth League competitions; many talented junior program players have gone on to join both Brisbane Roar FC’s senior side as well as professional clubs throughout Australia.

Coaches

Coach and Manager must accompany all team training and game sessions and games, in order to supervise team members while playing on the football field. At PHFC, these individuals should possess analytical thinking and observational abilities and uphold all club policies.

Nick Green has instilled an up-tempo style into the squad and instilled an attitude of believing anything is possible; something which resonates well with players such as Jez Lofthouse.

Owen Baker brings years of coaching experience both domestically and abroad, possessing an impeccable work rate while striving to develop teams to the best of their ability. Owen comes to us from Brisbane Strikers where he served eight years as Head Coach for their NPL QLD team – as well as having provided coaching services at senior level in Brisbane and Australia.
